The Five Year Journey April 30, 2153 to May 1, 2159

 Lord Patrick William Howard along with his wife, Lady Margaret Penelope Devereux and her brother, Lord Walter and his wife, Lady Beatrice along with the other families that included Lord Edmund Beaufort, his wife, Lady Eleanor Butler, Lord Joshua Collins and his wife, Lady Naomi, Lord Reginald Grey and his wife, Lady Elizabeth, Lord Joseph Habsburg and his wife, Lady Isabella, Lord Robert Bourbon and his wife, Lady Henrietta, and the rest of the aristocrats that lived in England  on April 30, 2153 boarded the USS Excalibur from of Heathrow International Airport.

They were greeted by Captain Archer and his crew and they formally welcomed them aboard The USS Excalibur and Yeoman White showed them to their quarters.

"We have a long journey to go and it will take us five years to get you to your new home on Star Base 12, but The United Federation of Planets will make sure you are well taken care during the journey." Yeoman White explains.

"We have a mess hall that serves three meals a day, a commissary if you need anything like toiletries, a library, a music room, a recreational hall, and a garden on board the USS Excalibur." Yeoman White explains.

"You will your quarters very comfortable and we have a cafeteria that can give you tea, coffee and snacks.' Yeoman White tells them.

Captain Archer or one of his commanding officers will bring you news." Yeoman White states.

"From what I heard from Star Fleet Command and The United Federation of Planets is very little." Yeoman White confesses.

Lord Patrick William thanks Yeoman White and with that she walks out of their quarters and Lady Margaret starts to unpack.

"What is going become of our families?" Lady Margaret  asks.

"I don't know my dear Margaret. My father refused to leave with us along with those who would not listen." Lord Patrick states.

"You have your brother, Lord Walter and his wife, Lady Eleanor  and you have some family here." Lord Patrick explains.

"I am just glad some families listened to me as I don't know what would have happened to them if they hadn't." Lord Patrick William explains, "I feel like Noah in The Old Testament."

"They scoffed at him and told him he was mad." Lord Patrick William explains "When the rain started and their world was destroyed along with it." 

"We are blessed that we have been chosen to survive."  Lord Patrick William explains.

It wasn't until the next day that Captain Archer came to his esteem passengers and delivered the news about World War III and he tells them "I am afraid at 11:30 PM when everyone  was asleep ECON launches their nuclear weapons." 

"I am afraid during their first attack 600 million people died while they were asleep." Captain Archer explains.

"I have further bad news to tell you." Captain Archer explains' The follow cities were destroyed detonation of nuclear weapons over cities (in the multiple-megaton range) such as Washington, D.C., London, Moscow, Berlin, New York City, Boston, Dallas, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Mecca, Riyadh, Samarkand, Karachi, Singapore, and New Delhi killed nearly half a billion people instantly. Smaller detonations occurred over Hong Kong, Beijing, and Ho Chi Minh City. Un-detonated or failed nuclear devices were discovered in or around targets such as Denver, Paris, Madrid, Rome, and Istanbul. Of the hundreds of ICBMs and bombers launched by the United States and allied forces, only one in five made it into the air, due to EMP weapons and viral attacks against the military computer networks — of these, only a fraction detonated properly.   

Conventional military forces on both sides were quickly moved into offensive position against their respective foes — on 3 May 2153, the First, Eighth, and Sixteenth Fleets under New United Nations command carry front-line troops into the Bay of Bengal, and the ECON launches a massive invasion of the North American continent, sending troops and military aircraft southward through Canada. Targets in New England (including Massachusetts), Minnesota, the Rocky Mountains, and the Midwest are hit hard by ECON forces, the U.S. military's defenses along the Canadian border failing utterly. The United States Air Force and United States Army both fought back against the invaders, but lose many fighters and ground soldiers to the enemy." 

Certain military units were abandoned in enemy territory during the war, including a New United Nations brigade under the command of Colonel Green in Kashmiristan in late May. Finally, the Eastern Coalition's governing palace was destroyed by American forces, killing ECON founder Lee Kuan.

In the initial nuclear exchange of World War III, Washington D.C. was completely destroyed, along with three surrounding U.S. states. Some major cities, such as Montreal, were actually spared from nuclear hits during the first rounds of ICBM exchanges." Captain Archer tells them.

"I am sorry I don't have any good news to share with you good people. The United Federation of Planets and The International Red Cross have not tallied the causality list." Captain Archer states.

Lord Francois Valois hears the news as well Lord Robert Bourbon and Lord Joseph Habsburg and they can't believe that the Eiffel  Towel was destroyed.

Lord Patrick William Howard tells his friends " Justice will prevail." 

"I am afraid that Captain Archer has not received the causality list." Lord Patrick William tells them "From what I understand that over sixty million people instantly and didn't even know what hit them." 

All the families gather together and they pray together to the various Deities.

Captain Archer brings further news about World War III and he tells them this "

In 2154, one year following the outbreak of hostilities, Colonel Green surprised the surviving United States government by turning up in Alaska at the head of a massive army comprised of both New U.N. and ECON soldiers. President Mendoza ordered Green to stand down, but is refused; Green slaughters his way across the continent, culling the "weak" and "impure" and those afflicted with radiation sickness from humanity's gene pool, killing millions, until finally meeting his demise in Montana from an orbital strike launched by Flint the Immortal."

"Thank Odin, Allah, Jehovah and Christ for Flint The Immortal." Lord Patrick William tells Captain Archer.

Lord Patrick William Howard and his passengers don't have any news about their families.

Finally on May 1, 2159, The USS Excalibur orbits around Star Base 12 and Lord Patrick William Howard and his friends have been transported down to Star Base 12.

First thing that the men do is start looking for housing for their families and they come together and share one big manor until Lord Patrick William can draw the blueprints to each home.

One by one, the men help to build the homes together and it is not until 2164 that Lord Patrick William Howard's of Norfolk Estate is built in the Northern Territory on Star Base 12 and Lord Patrick William Howard claims the Northern Territory and he christens it Norfolk after his beloved Norfolk, England.
